The A. Mateo Engineering Services (AMECOS) was established in 1981, specializing in the transfer of Polybutylene pipe processing technology and the development of tools, equipment, valves and fittings directed towards the reduction of unaccounted for or non-revenue water and the reduction of system leakages.
In 1987, an affiliate company, the AMECOS INNOVATIONS, INC. (AII) was formed to be involved in research and development of new ideas and to exclusively distribute and market all these new inventions and innovations.
In November 1996, another affiliate, the INVENTIONS & INNOVATIONS MARKETING CORPORATION (IIMC) was established to address the problems of the Filipino Inventors in marketing their products and to have a more or less permanent showroom located at Sunshine Square Plaza , Mandaluyong City.
In February, 2001, construction of the AMECOS building which will serve as the office of AII and the Office/Showroom of IIMC was started. Due to limited budget, it took Dr. Antonio F. Mateo, the founder, 2 years and 3 months to finish construction of the 3 level edifice utilizing creative and innovative construction techniques and in-house labor. The AMECOS building was formally inaugurated on May 11, 2003. |
